Enhanced Reporting Requirement. (ERR) in full swing through 2025

Revenue have labelled this Phase 1 and have stated that they will support the introduction of this scheme.

The literature I have read is mainly concerned with date paid and the amount and should be submitted before the payment is made. Making a return to Revenue monthly for all staff is not allowed. It is as it happens in real time through payroll software or ROS. It will apply to any payments you make to an employee or director under the following categories:

·Small Business Exemption (Annual vouchers to staff to the limit of €1500 (details of the date paid and value of this benefit and can occur up to 5 times per year as long as does not exceed the limit in total)

·Remote working daily allowance (You will report Total days, amount paid and the date paid.

·Travel and subsistence (date paid and the amount paid) for the following payments

  • travel vouched.

  • travel unvouched.

  • subsistence vouched.

  • subsistence unvouched.

  • site-based employees (including 'Country money')

  • emergency travel

  • eating on site

Small Business exemption has gone up to at €1500 - Tax free Voucher to employees - now reportable under ERR to Revenue

up to 5 vouchers adding to €1500 in total is allowable per year and no carrying over to next year if unpaid.
